Casting Call Closed for "Behind the Lens" – An Exciting Journey Ahead!

The casting call for "Behind the Lens," our upcoming live art/theatre/film show at the City of Mandurah Arts Festival 2024, has officially come to a close. What a journey it has been! 

I was absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible local talent that came forward to be part of this unique project. It’s inspiring to see such enthusiasm and creativity within our community.

This immersive show is all about exploring the boundaries between observer and participant, diving deep into themes of identity, voyeurism, and the complexities of our digital camera culture. With multiple short stories, including a pivotal scene where a romantic date between Beth and Max spirals into a heated argument, "Behind the Lens" is set to be a thought-provoking experience for both the performers and the audience.

I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who applied. Your passion and dedication to the craft did not go unnoticed, and we appreciate every submission we received. The decision-making process was tough, given the sheer volume of talent, but we are excited to announce that we have now finalised our cast.

So, what’s next?

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be diving into rehearsals, refining each scene to ensure that we deliver an unforgettable performance. We’ll also be sharing more about the cast members who will bring these intense and layered characters to life. This project is truly a collaborative effort, and we can’t wait to share the final product with you.
