Cargo is a 2017 Australian post-apocalyptic horror drama film directed by Ben Howling and Yolanda Ramke with a screenplay by Ramke based on their 2013 short film of the same name. The film stars Martin Freeman, Simone Landers, Anthony Hayes, Susie Porter, and Caren Pistorius.

Hamad AlSarraf is a Kuwaiti Film Director, Screenwriter, and Producer. His screenwriting and directorial debut came with his short film “Viktor – 2015”, and his debut feature film “In Paradox – 2019”.

EPISODE 33

The Platform is a 2019 Spanish science fiction-horror film directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia. The film is set in a large, tower-style “Vertical Self-Management Center”. Its residents, who are switched every 30 days between its many floors, are fed via a platform which, initially filled with food at the top floor, gradually descends through the tower’s levels, each level getting only the leftovers from the previous ones.

After watching In Paradox for episode 32, Hamad made contact and generously gave us a fascinating insight into the film making process and how In Paradox came to be.

Demolition Man is a 1993 American science fiction action film directed by Marco Brambilla in his directorial debut. It stars Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes, Sandra Bullock and Nigel Hawthorne.

Occupation is an Australian science fiction action film, directed and written by Luke Sparke, with additional dialogue by Felix Williamson.

Gantz: O is a 2016 Japanese CGI anime science fiction action film directed by Yasushi Kawamura, produced by Digital Frontier, written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, chief directed by Keiichi Sato, and based on the manga series Gantz, which was written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

Paul is a 2011 science fiction road comedy film directed by Greg Mottola from a screenplay by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Starring Pegg, Frost and the voice and motion capture of Seth Rogen.

  2. The challenges he faced in seeing his vision realised;

  3. How and when the sequel, Occupation: Rainfall, got funded and filmed.

Akira (Japanese: アキラ) is a 1988 Japanese animated post-apocalyptic cyberpunk film directed by Katsuhiro Otomo, produced by Ryōhei Suzuki and Shunzō Katō, and written by Otomo and Izo Hashimoto, based on Otomo’s 1982 manga of the same name. The film had a production budget of ¥700 million ($5.5 million), making it the most expensive anime film at the time (until it was surpassed a year later by Kiki’s Delivery Service).
